How It Works

Participating companies may specify:

• A Nice Class of Goods or Services
• A defined sub-class of Goods or Services
• A product or service category
• A targeted technological or market domain

Based on this direction, ITC will:

• Conduct structured prior-art analysis
• Identify areas of potential novelty
• Develop patentable concepts aligned with the company's direction
• Prepare and file Provisional Patent Applications (PPAs) in the name of the requesting company

Working with Internal Teams

ITC's Proactive, Exclusive Innovation Services are designed to operate in alignment with a company's existing R&D and intellectual property functions.

ITC does not replace internal capabilities. Instead, it expands the opportunity space available to internal teams by providing structured, patent-ready opportunities that may be evaluated, refined, and advanced according to the company's own priorities and processes.

Internal R&D teams remain fully responsible for scientific and technical direction and execution, while internal or external patent counsel retain full responsibility for legal strategy, prosecution, and protection.
